PT Angkasa Jaya Mulia (PT AJM) had a plan to build infrastructure in the form of a smelter and power plant at the location of Ganda-Ganda Village, Petasia District, North Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi Province.
A comprehensive soil investigation was conducted to support major industrial infrastructure, including a smelter, power plant, ore blending area, and supporting facilities. The study assessed subsurface conditions and near-surface material properties for foundation subgrade and haul road design, providing a reliable basis for ground stability and constructability evaluation.
Key Topics:
- Integrated field and laboratory program, including site reconnaissance, coring, sampling, SPT, DCP, and laboratory testing.
- Systematic data analysis to define soil stratigraphy, strength parameters, and subgrade bearing capacity.
- Results supported ground suitability assessment, identified geotechnical constraints, and informed infrastructure design and stability.
