On Thursday, December 14, 2023, the Training Division of PT Studio Mineral Batubara (PT SMB) conducted an online training session on “Technical Approval” and “Environmental Monitoring” for the Environmental and Land Agency of Manokwari, West Papua. The speakers for this training were Ira Mughni Pratiwi and Ratih C. K..
This training was conducted to improve the quality of human resources and services related to technical approvals (wastewater, emissions, and hazardous waste/B3 waste). In addition, the training aimed to support the agency’s duties and functions in guidance and supervision related to the implementation of environmental monitoring. Several key topics discussed during the training included changes in environmental regulations and legislation, the integration of technical approvals into environmental approvals, amendments to technical approvals, as well as guidance and supervision in environmental monitoring.
Overall, the purpose of the training was to ensure that business activities and operations are carried out in a way that maintains and protects the environment so that it continues to function properly.
