Geotechnical and Acid Mine Drainage (AMD) Potential Assessment for the Planned Galena Mining Operation of PT Generasi Muda Bersatu

Client: PT Generasi Muda Bersatu

Completed

PT Generasi Muda Bersatu (PT GMB) is a mining company engaged in the extraction of galena (lead ore). This study was conducted to support the planned underground mining operation in the Sabau Block. Therefore, a series of integrated assessments covering both geotechnical conditions and acid mine drainage (AMD) potential was required.

The geotechnical study presented in this report includes slope stability analysis, underground excavation stability assessment, and diggability evaluation. As mining operations progress, AMD management must also be considered. The AMD assessment was conducted to identify and mitigate the potential formation of acid mine drainage prior to mining activities, as this issue may lead to the contamination of both surface water and groundwater within the mining area.
