Thursday, October 27, 2022 marked the official opening of the Geomechanics Laboratory Building owned by PT Studio Mineral Batubara (commonly known as MCS Indonesia). The building is located on Jalan Wijaya, Dusun Nglanjaran, Sardonoharjo, Ngaglik, Sleman Regency. The inauguration of this laboratory building serves as concrete evidence of MCS Indonesia’s business diversification efforts in the field of laboratory testing. This three-story building will not only function as a geomechanics laboratory but also as a co-working space for MCS Indonesia employees.
The inauguration ceremony, led by Dr. Barlian Dwinagara, S.T., M.T. (Principal Advisor) and Lidana Erfiandri, S.T. (CEO), was attended by Indra Y, S.E., M.Ak (Coordinator of Mineral Business Development, DBM–Directorate General of Mineral and Coal), Dr. Koesnaryo and Prof. D. Haryanto (senior academics from UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta), Dr. Dian Indri (lecturer at FEB UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta), Dr. Syafrizal (lecturer at Institut Teknologi Bandung), Dr. Pancanita (lecturer at Universitas Trisakti), and H. Munawir Adam (PT Bumi Indonesia). Rizki Bhaskara, S.T. from Salira Design, the architect of the laboratory building, was also present and shared the design philosophy behind the structure he successfully created.
The establishment of this laboratory building marks a significant milestone for MCS Indonesia, which has been operating since 2008 and was legally incorporated as PT Studio Mineral Batubara in 2019. The geomechanics analysis testing services long provided by MCS Indonesia are now further strengthened with the presence of this laboratory facility. Moreover, this moment represents an initial step for MCS Indonesia in pursuing its larger ambitions for future company development.
